Q + A

What day should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP online by March 1, 2024. On this site, you'll find a dedicated RSVP section where you can easily confirm your attendance for all events and indicate any dietary preferences.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Due to limited space and the intimate nature of the wedding, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invite. However, we truly appreciate the effort and miles you're traveling to be with us on our special day. If you would like to bring a plus one, please let us know, and we'll be in touch closer to the event if we are able to accommodate your request.

What is the dress code?

Please see below, detailed attire guidelines for each event. For all events, we ask that you refrain from wearing white or colors in the white family.

Welcome Party

Dress Code: Garden Cocktail

Think floral dresses and laid-back suits. Check out the mood board for some outfit inspiration.

Wedding Reception

Dress Code: Garden Chic/Formal

A more elevated take while still having fun with colors, prints and patterns. See the mood board for ideas on how to strike the perfect balance.

Wine Tasting

Dress comfortably to enjoy the vineyard.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

We recommend that guests arrive 15 minutes or so before the official ceremony start time so they can get settled before the proceedings.

What will the weather be like?

The weather is typically mild, with warm, sunny days and cooler evenings. Daytime temperatures usually range from 68°F to 82°F. As the sun sets, the evenings can get a bit cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 59°F to 68°F. To ensure your comfort, we recommend bringing a light shawl or jacket for the evening festivities.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We kindly request that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have hired a professional photographer to capture all the special moments, ensuring that everyone can fully immerse themselves in the experience without distractions. Your presence means the world to us, and we want everyone to be fully present in the moment. By putting away cameras and phones, we can all share in the joy of the ceremony together. But, please feel free to take photos throughout the rest of the event!

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?

We will update the wedding website here as well as send an email to the email address provided along with your RSVP.

What's the best way to contact you if I have additional questions?

For any non-urgent inquiries or matters, kindly reach out to us via email at davidandsakura@gmail.com. In case of last-minute urgent matters, please feel free to send us a text message.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Please visit the transportation page for details.

How do I get to Lucca?

Pisa Gal Galilei (PSA) Airport is conveniently located for those traveling to Lucca, making it the closest airport. Alternatively, you can fly into Milan Malpensa (MXP) Airport, Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino (FCO) Airport or Firenze-Peretola (FLR) Airport and then proceed to Lucca by either driving or taking the train. For those opting to drive, we recommend obtaining an International Drivers Permit for a smooth experience on the roads. Train tickets can be effortlessly purchased through Trenitalia. Uber and Lyft are not available in Lucca. We recommend downloading itTaxi for cab services.
